Nee Nee

Oh how I love this baby! His sweet smile, chubby cheeks, and sparkling blue eyes make me fall in love with him each and every day. He continue to be the happiest and adored baby around. Sometimes I wonder if he will know his name because as of now he has numerous nick names!

He has gone from Landon to Landienie. Little L or Bing. Sometimes it's Ding Ding but lately it's been Nee Nee. Don't ask, all I know is he is loved by his family no matter what we call him!

I will say too that his hair is getting redder and redder so I can only wish and hope it stays.

Mr. T at Five

Trevor is my easy going little guy that does not require much attention and limelight so when it's his birthday he is in heaven. He loves getting the choice of everything and all the attention he gets throughout the day. I started the evening off before his birthday decorating his room so he could wake up to some fun. I have a hard time waking him up each morning but on his special day he jumped right out of bed! This was the last sleep as a 4 year old.

Pancakes with sprinkles were his request for his birthday breakfast. He was thrilled to have us sing to him too!

He was at his two different schools today so we had 64 cupcakes to share with his friends! He picked out Star Wars and I'm sure loved being sung to by his friends. At Schorr he was welcomed with his Birthday Message on the marquee from me. He was so happy to see his name up there!

The birthday boy requested Chuck E. Cheese for dinner which is always loads of fun.

I cannot believe my Trevor is 5. It seems like he should still be my messy two year old that was always into something! Instead he is 5 and currently loves: baseball, cereal, writing, Wii baseball, Lego's, and pizza lunchables.
We love this boy more than words can express. He brings us so much joy and happiness. We love you Mr. T!

Grumpy

I have been grumpy. I have been annoyed and something just doesn't seem right but for awhile I could not pinpoint why I was feeling this way until I saw this picture and I knew exactly why I have been so grumpy. It's my baby, he's growing up. I know that is the inevitable but that does not mean I have to like it! He has gone from this sweet little new born baby...
I
To an ALMOST one year old! He has been the best baby. So sweet and genuinely happy. His smile lights up a room and is contagious. I shouldn't be grumpy being around this sweet boy but I cannot help it. I keep thinking this is it, my baby is going to grow up right before my eyes and then what?!
I have to remind myself that what comes next is wonderful too. The hugs and I love you. The park trips and lazy afternoons together. Cartoons and sippie cups will be here soon.  All the first that are coming make me happy again.
Knowing this little guy is my BABY forever makes the grumpiness go away. He will grow but he will always be my baby.

Come One, Come All!

Party themes are picked out in advance in our home and I was beyond happy to have "The Greatest Party on Earth" for my two biggest boys! Their birthdays are one month a part so this year I decided to combine their birthday parties together right smack dab in the middle of both their birthdays. It was a celebration we will remember with fun and joy!
Invitations made by me. I kept it simple this year which made the production line much quicker.
I love my new birthday wreath. It makes the door festive and fun. I've put it out for both birthdays and now will continue on with tradition each year. It was so easy to make too!

You can't have a carnival without tickets and cotton candy!
Never took a picture of the food once it was all out! Our concessions stand was simple and kid friendly food with hot dogs and nachos.
My new favorite party favor... CANDY!
I'm in love with canning jars to drink out of and paper straws just make me happy. We continue to use them daily in our home because they just seem to make the simplest drink more delicious.

We had a blast with all the games! The Sack Race was my favorite with all the crazy faces these kids were making.
 A classic Ring Toss...
 Trevor and his tossing skills!
 Ball Toss
Can you tell we are baseball players?
Pin drop in the jar. I always laugh when kids do this because they can never to it!! They touch it to there nose and then drop the pin lower or they just bend super low to get the pin in!
The Balloon Pop ended up stressing me out giving a dart to each kid to through. I didn't want any eyes poked out!
Some of the party goers... we had about 25+ in all! Crazy but fun.
My boys cannot have a party without a pinata so here we are, once again. I found this creepy clown which seemed to fit, because the kids had a blast knocking it out!

I cannot believe how grown-up my boys are getting. This is our odd year, Shane 7 and Trevor 5. Trevor's cupcakes were so easy and the kids loved them topped with cotton candy. Shane requested a classic chocolate cake.

As always, they were spoiled!

I kept the decorations VERY simple this year!
Doesn't this candy bar make you happy! I'm happy to send home children home on a complete sugar high!

For as long as I can remember, after the party is over we make a wish and release our left over birthday balloons! I love the joy and excitment this brings to Shane and Trevor. Some times they share their wishes but this year they held them tight as the released their balloons into the black evening sky.
Here we go, wishes ready to make.

It was a crazy day. Our house was full of family and friends, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm typically exuhusted after throwing a party but I wouldn't have it any other way. My boys have come to love their birthdays and usually wake up the next day with ideas of next year's party theme! Boy are they my children!!!
