Road Trip!

You know you are behind with pictures when you are getting ready for a THIRD trip before you've posted the FIRST trip! Way back when sometime at the end of July the boys and I packed up and headed for good old Cal-i-for-ni-A! I really have so much fun with my boys. I think one of the best things about being a mom is getting to play with them. We really did have a good road trip minus having to talk on speaker phone because you can't talk on your cell for in CA anymore! Trevor enjoying his shakie after a quick stop to get drinks. Notice Shane's little hand in the corner. He needs attention on him at all times!
But then when the attention is on him he gets grumpy!
***A Major sorry about these pictures. Sometimes my point and shoot camera has issues. I know it's more me because I can't work it too well. I swear I look like someone who knows nothing about cameras when I pick it up!

Now on to the fun. Shane had a little accident and some diarrhea-YUCK! I thought he was kidding but no! We made a stop at the outlets, changed in Gymboree and made a quick stop into Aldo to see their HUGE sale! The boys had a blast trying on hooker shoes!

Trevor concentrating so hard to stay up in these shoes!

Soon enough he was running around the store with his high pitched squeal!

Shane looking good!
We had fun, but as soon as I found a pair for me we were out of there because these boys were being too crazy! It made for a nice entertaining stop!

Family Night Fun!

After a huge rainstorm and playing outside in the rain we decided to dry off and go do something fun and did some mini golf! It was a BLAST! Trevor has some skill but not as much as his mom because I kicked Damon's butt and won the game! I guess those college days of golf weren't just fun for doing donuts in the golf cart because I learned something too!

The golf place is indoors which was nice to be cool with AC inside. Everything glowed but it's hard to tell from my pictures.

Shane practicing his golfing skills taking after his father's skills or lack there of!

Trevor loved swinging his club and hitting things or I should say the ball. I was a little worried someone in my family would put a whole in the wall. Just as I was thinking, wow this place doesn't have to worry about losing balls like Golf N Stuff (a fun mini golf place in Ventura we loved as kids) to ponds and bushes since it's just a room with carpet and AstroTurf when Shane lost his ball too...

a MEAN DOG! He said, "Oh man, that mean dog just ate my ball!" We looked and looked with no luck so Daddy got him a new one and Shane yelled at the mean dog.
It was a super fun night and not crowded at all because it was the first day back to school. By the way, I'm sooo loving not being at work today! I love that I get to spend every second of the day cherishing my boys. I will admit I don't cherish some things they do. Just this afternoon Trevor threw my external hard drive on the floor, unrolled my new spool of thread, throwing the millions of coupons that come in the mail in that blue envelope to skate across the carpet on them, and to push the ice maker button on the fridge to have ice come out all over the floor making a huge cold wet mess! All this just today during his nap time which he missed today. Tomorrow I'm praying will be a 3 hour nap day to make up for today.

Feeling Proud!!

I must admit I'm going to boast about myself during this post! I am so proud of myself right now because I, Tricia L. Young, fixed my computer!!! I got my documents and it feels soooooooooooooo GOOD! Don't ask me what I did or if I can fix your computer because I have no idea what I did!!

Now, did you know that about 50% of Americans lose files on their computer EACH year? I am not that statistic and I don't want to be. Now that I have had this stress for the last week I have now decided to open the much needed account on Carbonite. I now feel so strongly about this site because for only $50 a year you get unlimited online backup! The best part is you don't do a thing it's completely automatic when your computer is idle! For people like me who never remember to do this stuff this feature is priceless.

If you are interested click, HERE Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the red box on the bottom left hand corner. Do this instead of going to Carbonite's site because Surftheweb is my Dad's site and he gets credit from it and maybe he will share the wealth since I'm getting him so much business. Wink, wink.

Sign up today. I'm so happy now I know I will NEVER lose a file! I still plan to use my external hard drive but this will be for another just in case!

Most things on computer could have been replaced. A lot of work and money to buy more things but it could have been done. The only thing I was sick about was my scrapbooking file. I wrote Trevor a letter each month his first year and those would have been gone. I sometime journal and put it in the file until I'm ready to do the page and I really have no idea what I had written. I'm so glad I'm so smart!!!

Life is good!

A few weeks ago I woke up stressed realizing Summer was almost over and it would be time to start school all over again. After this split second thought my stress turned into pure joy when I realized I, Mrs. Young, have changed my name in for the one and ONLY, Mom and I don't have to go back to school! However, I love new school years with a clean room, new theme, new workbooks, crayons, and freshly sharpened pencils.

As my school friends started their first day back to work after an enjoyable Summer, I spent the day at none other then McDonalds. Two very long yet relaxing hours and it was enjoyable because my house didn't get messy, I had a few scrapbook magazines to read and I was sipping my little heart out on...

The perfect Diet Coke. I don't know what McDonald's does but it is the best mixture of syrup and carbonation and a nice big old fat straw for PERFECTION! As for my school friends, I will be stopping by tomorrow to see their glorious classrooms before the new year!

Another reason why life is good, we cut open a new watermelon! Did you know the average American eats 15 pounds of watermelon a year!?! I think my little family eats way more watermelon then this because we went through 2 watermelons this week! We must have some growing boys because we went through 4 gallons of milk too! I really don't want to see what my grocery bill will be when these boys are teenagers.

Relaxing and enjoying a nice, not too hot, evening.

I love my little guys and am so happy to be able to be home with them this next year. Even though I have broken up 3 knock down drag out fights between them today, we had a few melt downs with tears, no naps I wouldn't change a thing because they bring me more happiness then I could ever imagin and life is good.

**Side note: As we were sitting in the grass eating our watermelon we heard a few clicks and then, the sprinklers got us! We ran as fast as our little feet would take us and made it out pretty dry. I sat on the sidelines while the boys striped down to NOTHING and enjoyed the sprinklers!

Help!

We have lost a major source in our family and I need help!!! Our computer died yesterday! I have all my pictures backed up but I didn't think to back up my DOCUMENTS! Which means I have lost my website, letters to kids, etc. Please, please does anyone have a computer friend! The poor computer is 4.5 years old and will start but just starts in safe mode(the black screen with white writing) and it just reloads and reloads! Any ideas, anyone!!??!!

The good news, we have a new computer that has tons of memory! The screen is almost too big (24 inches) and I'm going to love editing pictures on it. We have come a long way. When Damon and I were first married we lived in a basement apartment in Orem, UT and have a 9 inch, yes I meant what I typed a NINE inch TV!!! To top it off it was on top of a box and our couches were from DI! Life was so simple then.

Please let me know if anyone has a computer friend that can help this sad mama!

Why, oh why?

I don't like change. I hate when they change packaging on chips or change the design of my Diet Coke can. Well, there is one exception, I do like the Christmas and Olympic cans! It usually takes me a long time to like something new I hang on a wall. As a teacher I don't sleep the night before the first day of school worried about the changes in my classroom. But why oh why would someone think to change milk cartons! Yesterday I went to Costco and found ANOTHER place has changed there milk (Sam's did this month's ago). Take a look...

Anyone else completely annoyed by these gallon's of milk? Lanae said they haven't changed them in Texas so why are we getting them in Vegas? Here is why they don't work for me:

1. They aren't clear so it's hard to see how much milk you have left

2. They are taller and don't fit on my shelf how I would like them to and take up more room

3. They pour out SUPER fast and I ALWAYS end up spilling

Oh well, I just pray the grocery store doesn't change their milk packaging too. I'm off to spill some milk as Shane is requesting some chocolate milk! I know I shouldn't cry over spilt milk but really people, why change a good thing!

Home for a day!

We had a great time in Ventura and enjoyed being with family and friends. The weather was perfect and we were actually COLD a few nights!!! We are only home for a short day to do laundry and pack up again. Yes, I'm crazy but I'll be packing up the car again tomorrow morning! The boys had their 2 and 4 year check-ups today (I know it's almost 6 months late but really where does the time go!?!). Poor Daddy has to stay home and work so we can pay for all this gas we are using! It's a quick trip to see Lanae and her girls while they are visiting from Texas. Shane and Trevor are excited to see Sadie Patadie and Lulu AKA Sadie and Lucy! I can't wait to get some sister time in with Lanae and meet my best friend, Briti's, newest addition, Clarie.
