Fall is here!

We decided to go on a nice little Sunday drive up to Mount Charleston. It's so weird to have mountains just outside of the desert, but we do. It's pretty but nothing like going on a Sunday drive up Provo Canyon! Shane kept thinking we were going to the snow but he was still happy to see the fall colors. The aspen trees were so beautiful with shades of orange and yellow leaves! We are starting to cool off here in the valley too. I had to get another blanket for our bed, dress Trevor in winter jammies, and pull out the sweaters! I love fall time.

Daddy and Shane climbed up this big rock while Trevor and Mommy played with sticks!

Daddy and his boys. Trevor and Shane loved exploring through the "forest." Shane was a little upset he didn't see any animals for his collection. I don't know if he was planning on taking them home or what?!?

Usually Trevor loves being outside but he didn't last long today. He liked it at first but then decided he wanted to be held instead of walking on his own. I don't think he liked the uneven ground!
Our little tree hugger, Shane. I also realized how unfair life is as a girl. I had to go to the bathroom but had to wait until we found one. Shane joined the big boys club today and peed in the wilderness for the first time and loved every second of it! I guess I'll just have to get use to being out numbered by these boys!

Playhouse Disney LIVE!

I had the hottest date last night, SHANE! We went to Playhouse Disney LIVE and had a great time! At the last minute I sawa billboard saying Disney was coming and we couldn't miss it. We started off by going to Shane' s favorite place CHILIES and had dinner with Julie and Gabe and a friend from church Erica and Payton(we didn't get to sit at the show together but found out we all had tickets and had to go to dinner together). These 3 boys are so cute together! Shane would ask Gabe, "Are you so excited, Gabe?" When I was tucking Shane into bed I told him I had a great time and he said, "Me three!" Silly boy, I don't know where he go it but now he NEVER says me too but me THREE!
He loved every second of it! He couldn't believe Mickey was there and wanted to go on stage and see him. I told him we couldn't go down there and he said we could go down those stairs. Poor kid, we need to take him to Disneyland!

Our Litten Einstein's, Shane and Gabe, playing their trumpets!

Julie and I got talked into buying a lot of things! Boy are these kids spoiled! They got Handy Manny hats too. They just couldn't believe all the fun things.Mommy and Shane having so much fun! That is the "sweet" face Shane pulls when you tell him to smile!

Poor Trevor had to stay home. He had a baby sitter and Julie's daughter over so I'm sure he really had a great time with all the attention! He found the box of popcorn as soon as he woke up. Yummy, stale popcorn!

During the show Shane said, "Thanks mom, I'm having so much fun!" I'm glad you had fun buddy because I had fun being with you too! I love being the Mommy and getting to take you on fun adventures!

More Patch Fun!

I couldn't resist posting more pictures! We had so much fun we wanted to share all our adventures. Although we had fun, we were in a parking lot of a casino. There is something about going to a REAL farm and getting pumpkins! I know I will over do Halloween again this year, but we sure have a fun month so I think I still want to go to Ventura for our "2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch Visit!" It's kind of an "excuse" to get out of town but it's fun to go to a REAL pumpkin patch. The only problem, we need to find a week-end between now and Halloween when we aren't busy and that can be a little tricky!

I think I was a little mean having Trevor go on this ride! He like it at first, but after awhile he started to cry and made every one's ride a little short! I love this picture. Check out Trevor's hair blowing in the wind! Too funny.

Shane is usually a cautious child when it comes to things like this but he loved all the animals today.
Trever loved every second with the animals. He hums in this sing-songy voice and talks to the animals. He wanted to get the bunnies in the cages and gave all the animals loves. He absolutely loves animals. He is such a tender little boy.

Pumpkin Patch

For our Playgroup this week we went to the Pumpkin Patch and had so much fun! They give us a super deal and the kids get to ride, play, and explore EVERYTHING at the Pumpkin Patch. It's really nice because the only people there at this time are friends from Playgroup! We had so much fun we booked another date! If you missed today PLEASE come Oct. 23 at 10a.m. Your kids will have a blast.

Shane loved driving his car. He didn't want Trevor to come with him because he would go too fast and Trevor might get scared! He really thought he was driving the fastest!

They both loved the swings. I wish I had my video camera because Shane squiled in delight for the first few mintues!
Trevor was just chillin' in the swings. Each time he would pass me he would yell MOM!

Shane and his little buddy Whitney. They had so much fun and thought they owned the place going from one ride to the next!

Happy Birthday Briti!

Happy 30th Birthday! I can't believe you are 30, you are now OLD! I can say this because in exactly 4 months I will be 30 which is too scary! Thanks for being such a great best friend and ALWAYS being there for me. You truly are an amazing mom, wife, sister, and friend. For those of you who don't know Briti we have been best friends since I was born. We played on blankets together when we were babies. We made play dough pies and ate mac and cheese when we were toddlers. I moved when we were 5 and we wrote letters to each other since she was in UT and I was in CA. Our families would see each other at least every year. When we were 12 we went to visit each other for the summer and had so much fun! We had a great time during college years and loved swapping barfing stories when we were pregnant with Shane and Camden. I can't count how many nights we have stayed up late talking or hanging out all day in our P.J.'s.We continue to love talking on the phone for hours about NOTHING but at the time it is the most important thing in the world. I love you Briti B! I hope you had a wonderful day.

Sad, this is the most recent picture I have of Briti. Whenever we get together we take pictures of the kids and not us! Or the husbands take pictures fishing but we just love hanging out and catching up to the wee hours of the morning so we don't need pictures of that! This was taken in 2005 when Camden was just 1 years old! I opted not to use any old pictures of us in matching sailor outfits, sorry folks I'll spare ourselves the embarrassment!

The other side of Daddy

I couldn't stand opening my blog and not seeing something cute or sweet so I had to add this. I have been going through some pictures for a project I'll be working on (I can't say what it is because it's a gift) and found this lost picture! I love going through old files and find pictures I missed and now have a new favorite. I need to get the huge shelf I want made for my upstairs game room to add about 100 pictures to! This picture was taken in February when we took Shane fishing at Floyd Lamb State Park. He looks so little and sweet in the picture, I love it!

Bad Boys Bad Boys...

What cha going to do when they come for you?!! Vegas is a safer place after this bust. I noticed Damon hasn't really been a part of our blog so I decided to share what it's like in a days life of a cop in Vegas! Damon isn't a street cop any more he does more detective work in the Problem Solving Unit serving warrants, busting down doors and finding things like this. He wears just normal clothes so I'm happy because I don't have to deal with the dry cleaner anymore!!! He sure does see and experience things I never want to think about!

They found over 430 grams of marijuana and $5,000 in cash and 3 guns. Don't you think he should get some of the money as a bonus for keeping the streets clean!?!? Thanks Damon for working so hard for our family.
