It look like Santa came!

It looks like Santa has been here! We made cookies for Santa tonight and I had a sneak peak and they are gone and now there are gifts under the tree. I didn't even hear him, he's one tricky Santa! Shane went right to bed tonight with pure joy and excitement! He thought he might have heard Santa on the roof while he was trying to fall asleep!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas! Enjoy this special time to remember the birth of our Savior and the warmth this time of year brings into our homes. We will miss all of our families but wish EACH of you a Merry Christmas to you and those you hold dear.

** Side note, this Nativity was given to us by our secret Pixie Family. (At church we drew names to deliver secret goodies for 5 days so a family had us and we had a family too).Isn't it the cutest thing you have every seen?!?! I had to show it off! Each night they gave us a treat and a set of the blocks. The boys love the blocks and have been playing with them all week. We had the best Pixie Family EVER! Thank you so much!! We have had fun delivering goodies to our Pixie family too. Shane was upset when it ended and wanted to deliver something and "drive fast" tonight! There will always be next year but for now, Mommy won't be driving fast after the ticket I got last week! Merry Christmas!!!

Pre School Christmas!

g
Shane had his Pre School Christmas celebration on Thursday. They did a little gift exchange after there little program. The night before he decorated the bags and picked everything out for each of his little friends. He loves everything about pre school!

They sang songs they have been singing all year and then sang Jingle Bells. It was so cute seeing him do the little actions!

Here they are singing there little song and doing the actions! The little girls all just love Shane and their mom's tell me that they think he is so funny. I wonder what he does to make them think he's so funny!!! :)

Shane and Gabe opening there gifts from Landon. He was so excited to have presents and give presents to his friends! I love seeing how excited he is for Christmas!

Eight years!

Happy Anniversary to my Sweetie! Eight years ago today Damon and I were married and sealed in the Salt Lake temple. It was a beautiful winter day. The day is a blur and actually the last 8 years have been a blur. Who would have thought after our first date at 16 that we would end up married and then 8 years later have the perfect little family! We are already an old married couple. Damon forgot, I had to stay at school late, the boys have been sick and grumpy, and so off to pick up Chili's To Go for anniversary dinner! Oh well, we have FOREVER to have romantic meals and anniversaries together just not this year!
This picture makes me realize that I need to get our negatived onto a CD. I wanted to share a picture so this is the ghetto way of taking a picture of a picture because I can't work the scanner. I better go, we must watch our wedding video like we do each year to make the day see like yesterday! Thanks Damon for being the best husband, I love you.

Time to brag

My two boys are constantly amazing me by what they are learning and what they know. This morning I wanted to try a new Christmas cookie recipe and Trevor was helping me cook. I was adding 2 teaspoons of vanilla and I was counting as I poured them in. I said one teaspoon and then Trevor said "Twooooo!" I couldn't believe it! Here he is only 20 months old and can count to two! Damon was asleep during this time so later on tonight I was telling Damon the story and so we start counting with him and I say one, he says two, I saw three and then he says four!!! I can't believe it my baby counting. I have not taught him this so Mickey Mouse must be doing something good! We'll see how tomorrow goes, if he retained any of this sudden knowledge or if it was a one time deal! And since no post is complete without a picture. Here is Mr. Trevor doing his new favorite thing, coloring.

Santa Santa HO, HO, HO!

We are getting so excited about Santa in our house right now. It's so much fun to see Shane excited about Santa! Yesterday he asked me how Santa makes all those toys. I explained to him about the Elves and how they make presents and that they are adults the size of kids. He thought this was the funniest thing ever! He laughed so hard about it and couldn't wait to see one. We had our Ward Christmas party last night. If you can't tell Trevor was so tired! He was nodding his head during his turn on Santa's lap so he wasn't too in to it! Shane on the other hand...

Was so excited! Here Shane is at his first sight of Santa as he walked into the room. He just stood there and waved to Santa!

Shane waited in the long line. I don't know how but each year we get pushed out of the Santa line and it just takes FOREVER! Shane is a very cautious boy so I was surprised he went and sat on Santa's lap with no reservations. His excitement outweighed any fears he might have!

Shane had told me all day what he was going to tell Santa so once he got on his lap it was straight to business. It was so sweet hearing him talk to Santa. He said, "Ok, I want a red bike and I want a monkey computer. " I hope Santa heard his wishes. I keep telling him those are 2 big things he must be really good!

Santa asked him how old he was and he just held up his fingers. Today he went in the Primary to help him get use to it and the Primary kids happened to be singing in R.S. I about died when I saw my BABY up there singing with the big kids! I was a little emotional about it! Once he saw me he was making faces at me and waving- too cute!

As soon as we got in the car to come home Shane wanted to call Daddy who had to work. The first things out of his mouth was "You missed it Dad!" Damon was sad to miss it but Shane said he would tell Santa he wanted a red bike too! I love this time of year and it has just gotten better for me since Shane is loving every second of Santa, decorations, lights, and yes hot chocolate!

WARNING: Do Not Buy Oreos

Just a simple warning, don't buy these Christmas Oreos if you have young children. I thought they would be fun and Shane wanted them so we tossed them in the cart and bought them, but they have been nothing but trouble. Regular Oreos are usually a fun mess. I mean fun by a cute sticky little kid with cookie all over his face. I like fun messes like that but the RED just pushed me over the edge!

This is what the cookie ends up like after Trevor is done with it. Doesn't that look yummy?

This is what Trevor looks like after ONE, yes one cookie!

I have carpets to clean, blankets to wash, and shirts with the red stains on them from these treats! Do yourself a favor and don't buy oreos until after the Holidays!

Brotherly Love

I'll admit, I am so proud of this picture. This is really one of Shane's first drawings of people AND his first letters. You can tell which letters I wrote, the ones we wrote together and the ones he did on his own. He usually has nothing to do with letters but since it had to do with something to tell Trevor NOT to do Shane was all for it! Translation: No... Trevors (that is a picture of Trevor).

After Damon and I got back from our amazing week-end alone which by the way we had a great time. Damon kept saying why haven't we done this before or we've got to do this more often I knew we were hooked! We are planning a BIG spring break trip which I'm so excited about. Anyway, once we got home Shane wanted to make a sign for his door that would NOT let Trevor into his room (a trick I was sure Shane learned from one of Gabe's siblings over the week-end). That sign is what he came up with and he reminds Trevor all day about the sign and how he can't come in! I guess we have a bossy big brother on our hands.

Tonight we went and painted Christmas ornaments at my school. They will be fired and look pretty next week to hang on our tree which I'm hoping we will have by then! Both boys loved the painting. Trevor loved the mess and I'm thinking his will turn out better than Shane's! Trevor loved the chocolate chip cookies and loved making a mess trying to suck the chocolate out of the cookie! He has the biggest sweet tooth EVER!
