Pumpkin Carving

Last night we have our first F. Hills Pumpkin Carving Party! We have such great neighbors and the kids all get along so well so we decided to have pumpkin carving and dinner at the end of the cul-de-sac last night. Tables and chairs were set up, the food was out, and the carving began!

Trevor was more interested in the Doritos then carving pumpkins. One smell of the pumpkin and he was out of there. He was concerned as Damon was using the knife to carve Shane's pumpkin.

This is our neighbor/friend from the ward Ethan. Shane idolizes him. Ethan gave a talk in primary the 1st week of primary and then it was Shane's turn. I don't think he would have done it if Ethan hadn't the week prior. He was ready to go and even let me "tuck in his shirt like Ethan!"

Oh what concentration as they watch Daddy carve the big, big one! We have 6 pumpkins on the front porch from all the patches and festivals we have attended so the boys just had to go to the porch to pick out their pumpkins! Neither of them helped with a thing. Shane HATES carving pumpkins but this year he like the finished product. He usually won't even go near the carved pumpkin!

Look at that huge pumpkin and Damon's mad craving skills! We had to put the pumpkin on it's side because it was so big and lopsided!

Leave it to Maren to make a fun dessert. She made a graveyard with all of our names on there. She was going to put on their how we died but there was no room. It would have one like this...

Here is mini-me, Morgan! She was so cute all night with the picture taking and was the mini paparazzi!

We had so much fun and only stopped because it was too dark! The kids had a blast carving pumpkins, playing, and having dinner. Our firefighter neighbor even made so flaming hot chili! Today we took a break from Halloween activities and will be ready for tomorrow with a party in the morning, tick or treating, and then Trunk or Treat at the church!
